Tenant Participation

Home

As a registered housing provider, CCHL has a commitment to tenant participation.  We provide a tenant newsletter and conduct regular tenant satisfaction surveys to assess our tenants’ satisfaction with our service provision.  We also ask that you provide feedback when your property receives maintenance.  This is very important to us, as it allows us to monitor the performance of our contractors on a job by job basis.

TENANT NEWSLETTER

Tenants are able to be members of our newsletter working group.  Any tenants who feel they may be able to be part of this group are encouraged to call our office.

YOUR RIGHTS AS A TENANT

You will be treated with respect, fairness and in a non-discriminatory way.  We will ensure that information about tenants and applicants (including lists with names and addresses, personal files and notes, names on files or whiteboards) are not visible or easily accessible in public areas in the office. We will keep all print files secure in a locked cabinet with access only to those who need to have access.   All interviews with tenants will be conducted in private. Information regarding you or your tenancy will only be given to another organisation with your written approval.  This approval is usually given on Consent to Disclose form when you sign your Lease.

You have the right to remain a tenant of CCHL provided you comply with the terms of your tenancy as described in your Residential tenancy Agreement.

Your rights as a tenant are important to us as your landlord.  If you believe your rights are not being respected, we ask that you contact us immediately.
