The Office is entrusted with ensuring the community housing system is effectively managed, operates in the public interest and is accountable to Government.
NSW Department of Housing http://www.housing.nsw.gov.au/ The Department of Housing is the umbrella organisation for government housing initiatives in NSW. The Department provides quality rental housing solutions for those whose needs cannot be met by the private market.

It assists interested groups of people statewide to plan, develop and establish housing co-operatives. It also undertakes representation, advocacy, networking, education and training, program and policy development, information provision, planning and project development on behalf of NSW co-ops.

Shelter NSW http://www.shelternsw.org.au Shelter NSW is a non-government organisation advocating for low-income and disadvantaged consumers of housing. Shelter is part of a national network of Shelter organisations working for a fairer housing system.

Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute http://www.ahuri.edu.au/ AHURI is Australia's only national research organisation committed to analysing and understanding these issues. NCOSS http://www.ncoss.org.au/ NCOSS is the peak body for the social and community services sector in NSW. NCOSS works towards achieving social justice in New South Wales. Its members range from the smallest community-based services to the largest welfare organisations.
